‘SOM PLUS’ LAUNCHES ITS FIRST FULL-SCALE CAMPAIGN, FOLLOWING THE MARKET’S WARM RECEPTION

As a beverage product under TCP Group’s energy drink portfolio, ‘Som Plus’ boasts its uniqueness with the beneficial ingredients of 100% Korean ginseng extract for healthy body, Vitamin A for good eyesight, Vitamin B12 for proper brain function, and honey flavor that provides pleasant and refreshing taste.

Mr. Supachai Junkeiat, TCP Group’s Global Marketing Division Director, revealed: “Som Plus was first introduced by the TCP Group to the Thai market in 2016, when the market segment of energy drinks containing ginseng extract was immensely hyped up with the annual growth rate of 20%. Som Plus has demonstrated continuous growth for 3 consecutive years – as it serves the demand of existing energy drink consumers, who are growing older, more health conscious, and looking for a healthy drink that would enable them to do all the hard work.”

Our goal is to increase its sales growth by as much as 400%, while the overall ginseng-extract-contained energy drink market segment continues to grow at 20%,” added Mr. Joonkiat.

 

The full-scale marketing and communication campaign of Som Plus will start off from May onwards, with the aim of raising awareness and recognition among the broader public. This campaign includes the first television commercial of Som Plus, and other marketing supports – including online marketing efforts, in-store and point-of-purchase materials, and the sampling distribution of over 700,000 bottles in various locations nationwide.
