Wuhan is China’s 7th largest city and houses a myriad of tourist attractions such as the Yellow Crane Tower and Wudang Mountains. However, the COVID-19, or a new virus of coronavirus pneumonia, has left the city into a calamity.

With the outbreak in December 2019, the flue has rapidly spread out and led to 9,480 victims and 213 of them are killed. (quoted from Thairath Online as of 31 January 2020 06:57 hour) No antibiotic nor vaccine have been made available so far.

China is one of the most significant markets of TCP Group. Introduced in 1993, TCP Group’s Red Bull cans were titled Hong Niu. The drink was a phenomenal success and became the top energy brand in short time. Red Bull or Hong Niu has since been the number one energy beverage in China.

To fight the COVID-19, TCP Group and our local business partners donated 54 million baht or 1 million yuan to charitable agencies that cope with Wuhan crisis such as Red Cross Society of China in Hubei. TCP Group also gave away free Red Bull to nurses at hospitals in Wuhan to refresh themselves and keep restoring the city.

Get well soon Wuhan.
