On June 21, the Thai Festival in Beijing 2024 kicked off in Sanlitun, Beijing. The three-day event aimed to promote Sino-Thai economic exchanges and cultural interactions, and to jointly welcome the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand in 2025. Additionally, the festival offered consumers the opportunity to experience Thai products and services, stimulating consumption vitality. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, the Thai Ambassador to China, attended the opening ceremony and kicked off the event. The Thai Festival in Beijing 2024 recreated an authentic Thai marketplace, showcasing Thailand's premium products and rich cultural resources, attracting a large number of consumers and cultural enthusiasts. At the event, Thai elements were presented in every aspect, including high-quality Thai food and fruits, Muay Thai, Thai dance performances, fashion shows from Thai designer brands, traditional Thai music and T-POP performances, as well as a three-day exhibition activity by 10 high-quality Thai universities and international schools. About 10,000 participants were attracted daily, bringing a comprehensive cultural experience to the attendees.

In terms of Thai cuisine, various brands from members of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China brought more than 100 types of high-quality Thai products, including seasonal Thai fruits that could be purchased on the spot. The authentic Thai flavors provided a unique consumer experience, taking participants on a Thai culinary journey. Traditional arts were displayed, from the elegant steps of Thai dance, to the powerful strikes of Muay Thai, to the mysterious colors of Khon mask play, from which the audience could experience the profound heritage of Thai culture up close. Meanwhile, modern performances by singers and actors who traveled from Thailand presented a dazzling feast for both the eyes and ears of the audience, further promoting the cultural exchange of music between China and Thailand.
